The Other Room is always there, set a tiny fraction apart from the universe you are currently in. Its already in the space between rooms that you are not used to paying attention to, that you assume are always the same. It’s contents at first glance look familiar, but on closer inspection details are altered, revealing a narrative of something or someone else entirely.”

Emma Gibson (b 1980 UK) is an investigative artist interested in how our worlds are constructed. She has exhibited widely in Britain and internationally and works mainly by creating ‘environments’, putting the viewer centre stage.
